Mathijs van Dijk Director of WeLL Design provides at Innovation in the Kitchen Event a workshop for 25 master students in various specializations including innovation management, marketing management and supply chain management. The Innovation Kitchen Event is organised by STAR Master Study Club Innovation Management in collaboration with the Department of Technology Management and Innovation of the Erasmus University.
January 21, 2010:
Mathijs van Dijk will be present at the debate in Amsterdam on the report 'Medical technology: also suitable for home use' of the Rathenau Institute. This Institute shows the influence of science and technology on our everyday lives and presents its dynamics; by independent research and debate.
The debate will consist of 2 parts:
1. A discussion of the essay 'Health as lifestyle' (authors: Michael Asveld and Lotte Besters, Rathenau Institute) on the underlying trends of the personalization of care technology.
2. A discussion of the tension between government control and market, with innovations in care technology, based on the article 'Care for medical technology. It is about the development of care technology, shaping technology policy and pleasing public interests (authors: Teun Zuiderent-Jerak and Tom van der Grinten, Erasmus MC) from the report. Important questions during the debate are 'Should politics play a role in these developments?' and 'How should the care field deal with this?'
