De Koningh: ArtDeko meat slicer
WeLL Design has developed a new generation of meat slicers for Koningh Food Equipment (formerly Berkel Produktie Rotterdam). The ArtDeko is a worthy successor to the 834, which for more than 50 years has been a mainstay of butcher’s shops and supermarket meat counters.
Quality, cleanliness and tradition were key to the design of the aluminium and stainless-steel housing. Above all, absolute hygiene is essential for market acceptance. Not only does the way the motor housing is incorporated into the overall design make the slicer easier to clean, but it also looks cleaner. As well as the upright slicer, we designed an angled version.
WeLL Design was responsible for the housing design, for the basic and detailed engineering of all housing components and for a number of the upright slicer’s internal parts.
