The Health Centre of the Future

The Health Centre of the Future (about 2020) is a concept developed during a one-week “Playground” workshop. A creative team of a trend watcher, designers and health specialists (medical staff and patients) worked closely together to explore current experiences and future dreams and ambitions of patients and medical staff.

Co Design and Context mapping were a big part of the process. Result was a fresh new insight and vision, presented by visualisations, keywords and persona's (personification of the target group presented with photos, characters, data and background)

Result
Panaceum - Vision on functionality and interior

The Panaceum, a physical building with the emphasis upon preventive medicine. A place offering physical and mental wellness, health information, diagnosis and treatment – a combination made possible thanks to privacy-level classification. Persona-based user scenarios showed that a visit to the Panaceum can be quick and efficient, but also deliberately made more leisurely and oriented towards human contact, depending on the patient's needs.

MiMe - Vision on a personal electronic patient dossier

MiMe – short for MirrorMe is a reflection of your health, both physical and mental. This is personal tool to measure, manage and communicate your medical condition. In no way does it claim to replace the GP or hospital specialist, but it can be a valuable tool in making things easier for both patient and doctor.

The Playground exercise was organised by WeLL Design, and also supervised by us in partnership with Utrecht University of Applied Sciences and Utrecht University Medical Centre.
