Vitens: Aquabooster mobile water pump
The Aquabooster is a mobile pump which instantly adds capacity to drinking-water supply systems. The booster includes a trailer-sized diesel pump enclosed in a noise-suppressing housing.
In WeLL Design, Vitens found the ideal partner to develop a concept which reflects the company’s key values. An initial design strategy workshop based upon the personality of the brand resulted in a moodboard representing the design language. WeLL then carried out the detailed industrial design and engineering of the bodywork and accessories. The values “hygiene” and “purity” were expressed visually through the use of clean, clear shapes and bright colours. The essence of the product is embodied in its curved walls and convex doors, which convey a feeling of boosting power. At the same time, the curvature of the walls helps reduce internal noise.
