Design driven by sustainability, comfort and convenience
Consumers today want comfort, convenience and a sustainable future. So these are the principal criteria applied by WeLL Living in the industrial design, styling and engineering of its home and construction products. We have fully embraced the idea of consumer-oriented IFD (industrial, flexible and demountable) construction. In order to achieve maximum quality with the minimum risk of failure, it is essential that building be industrialised. And to give the consumer as much freedom of choice as possible at an affordable price, mass customisation is the solution. In practice, this means developing standardised “project-independent” building components with design and the logistics of construction at their heart. We are working on new housing concepts such as Vroluk Wonen (Happy Living), a form of “living building” based on the adaptation of existing dwellings.
WeLL Design is convinced that virtually every home and construction product would benefit from a thorough design makeover.
We are a member of the EspritHuis Association for consumer-oriented building and a working partner of Probi, the Building Innovation Project Centre at Utrecht University of Applied Sciences, and we are involved in projects supported by national innovation and sustainable development agency SenterNovem to reduce carbon dioxide emissions in the built environment.
